Jany Salinas

Backend Developer

Hi, I'm Jany Salinas, a 27-year-old developer from Norway, educated in backend development at Noroff Fagskole. Over the past six months, I've been working primarily with frontend development, which has given me a broader understanding of how applications come together from both the client and server side. While my background is in backend, this experience has helped me better understand the connection between structure, functionality, and user experience.

I'm still early in my career and focused on continuous learning. I enjoy solving problems and writing clean, structured code, and I'm especially motivated to keep developing my backend skills with technologies like Express.js, Sequelize, Node.js, JavaScript, and PassportJS. At the same time, I'm interested in growing within frontend development — particularly in areas like accessibility (universal design) and building inclusive user experiences.

I'm passionate about connecting with the tech community and have applied to join the Tech-Girls organization. Long term, I hope to contribute to meaningful, scalable projects while continuing to expand my skills across both backend and frontend.

Testimonials

Noroff Oslo

I’ve had the pleasure of teaching Jany Salinas in our first-year Backend Development with JavaScript program. She is a dedicated and thoughtful student who brings a consistent level of care and focus to her work.

Jany applies herself with genuine intention and is eager to learn – not just for the sake of learning, but to create and explore. She contributes to class discussions and interacts well with her peers, bringing a friendly and open presence to the classroom.

Her assignments are often submitted early, and she consistently aims to do her best. She doesn’t shy away from challenges and puts effort into understanding the material thoroughly.

Jany is a motivated and reliable student, and I believe she would be a great addition to any team looking for someone who is passionate about development and ready to grow.
